WAJIBU believes this will be accomplished by fostering an environment that promotes transparency and public financial accountability in the country through policy advocacy and research, capacity building, and citizen engagement, particularly among youth, women, and people with disability. To achieve youth engagement in Public Financial Accountability matters, WAJIBU conducts accountability essay competitions to encourage the active participation of youth in critical thinking to address societal issues (Public Financial Management). These competitions intend to provide platforms for the youth to express their ideas, perspectives, and solutions related to governance and corruption, thus contributing to the development of a more accountable and transparent society.

CALL FOR JOURNALISTS: STRENGTHENING PUBLIC FINANCIAL GOVERNANCE THROUGH MEDIA

WAJIBU and Policy Forum, with funding from the European Union, are implementing a two year governance project (2025 - 2027) to enhance transparency, accountability and citizen participation in public financial governance across Tanzania. As part of this initiative, we invite passionate journalists to join the Public Financial Governance Program to sharpen their skills in investigating, analyzing and reporting on financial governance, resource mobilization and corruption. Apply by 10th April 2025.
